WORKING WITH SCHOOLS
We have all worked in schools and know how vital it is for education providers to work together. At Laidlaw Hall we work very closely with schools in various different ways. We also welcome visits from school colleagues to see how we work and the team in action in our Laidlaw Hall classroom
Schools Outreach
We work with a number of local schools on an outreach basis, and can assist in a variety of ways:
- Running INSET or Twilight training sessions for your staff to equip them with strategies for helping children with specific learning difficulties.
- Providing one-to-one assistance to individual pupils in the school setting (subject to availability).
- Providing assessments of individual children which we conduct on the school premises to identify areas of weakness and provide strategies for the school to give targeted support.
Liaison with Laidlaw Hall
Where parents have sought permission from school for their child to attend Laidlaw Hall for sessions during the school day, we develop a programme of support in consultation with both school and parents to best help that child to overcome their learning difficulties. Weekly email updates are sent to school and parents so that everyone is working together to support the child.
