ENTRANCE exam PREPARATION

We do not believe in ‘hot-housing’ children to prepare for exams, but rather working with them gradually to ensure all the building blocks of their knowledge are secure and, at the right time, fine-tuning their exam technique.

We prepare children to sit school entrance exams at 7+, 8+, 9+, 10+ and 11+.

For 11+ preparation, we offer individual or group lessons in Maths and English which begin in the autumn term of Year 5, and run for four terms.

We teach younger children preparing for exams at 7+, 8+, 9+ and 10+ on an individual basis.

Many children add a group lesson in Verbal and non Verbal Reasoning, as Reasoning is part of many school entrance exams. The three-term course starts in the January of Year 5.

These classes are held at our Christ Church (East Sheen) and The National Archives (Kew) venues.

“I am so relieved that we decided to go with Laidlaw. Being able to cover Reasoning, English and Maths all with one tutor made it a lot easier, and made us feel confident we were covering all the bases and were prepared!”

In addition to the weekly term-time lessons, we offer a series of mock exams, mock interviews and holiday exam revision workshops.
